Each Week Will Focus On Action Steps
You’ll move from that creative space in your mind to your physical body by incorporating a morning routine that includes gentle exercises, simple super powered meals throughout the day, helpful supplements, and a restful evening routine. In addition, each week will focus on action steps that will teach you how to be the super woman you were meant to be. Stick with it and you’ll activate your super powers each and every day! Please note that, during Week 1, you’ll start with Action Steps 1 through 5, and you’ll add further action steps in the second and third weeks. Boost Your Adrenals, 2 p.m. This will help you grasp the connection between your mental and creative energy, and your physical and emotional health. Your goal will be to recognize and identify that line that often gets crossed from amazing energy to anxiety, creativity to paralysis, and/or joy to panic. During your first week, you’ll begin prioritizing reconnection. Phase 1 is all about reconnecting and grounding you back to your body. You’ll do this with five foundational action steps. I urge you to stay consistent with these first five strategies, because daily commitment and repetition will help cement these new behaviors into established and automatic habits that you’ll learn to miss if you forget to do one. The first 7 days of the Gypsy Girl plan address this by focusing on warming up the body and providing the energy and comfort required to bring everything back together. Establishing the routine of having these warming drinks each morning gave me essential time for reflection and mental preparation for my day ahead.

This ancient Chinese practice is characterized by a series of slow, fluid movements that flow one into the next to create a workout that’s been shown to ease anxiety, improve concentration, and increase energy. Another Chinese tradition, qi gong is also characterized by flowing movements, but it is often more free flowing than tai chi and has a focus on wellness. Developed in India nearly 5,000 years ago, yoga is a comprehensive system of physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health. We never know what the day ahead will entail, so plan ahead with your menu. The next step in keeping you balanced and energized is to include plenty of protein and also some healthy fats during the rest of your day. It is one thing to tell someone to eat high protein and another to actually translate that information into a meal. All of the daily breakfasts and lunches provided on your menu are packed with 15 to 20 grams of protein and at least 5 grams of healthy fat. You will notice that most of the meals repeat throughout the week and minimize refined carbs. Just So That You Know
Just for this first week, you get a pass to continue eating any other meals and snacks later in the day the way you currently do. Well, that remains an ongoing debate involving everything from our genetics to the way our food is grown, manufactured, and processed to the quality of our soil, air, and water. The fact is that our food does not have the same nutritional quality that it may have had in the preceding generation, and our environment has changed dramatically as well. I find that supplements can help, as long as they are targeted to your specific needs. I never want my patients buying so many supplements that they fill up a grocery bag or empty their bank account, and I certainly don’t want you taking things you don’t need. What you’ll find below are the supplements I’ve found that help Gypsy Girls the most. Again, you are unique and individual and may have specific supplement needs in addition to those suggested here, but if you don’t have access to full nutritional testing right now, this is a great starting point. Take these each morning right after breakfast. As part Gypsy Girl myself, I notice that if I skip my supplements, even while sticking to other good habits, within a few days my energy drops, my mood shifts, and my skin and hair lose their shine and luster. For more information on supplements, see Resources. You will see B vitamins on all the different Power Type plans. I find that the potent role B vitamins play in women’s health is undervalued. Make Me Smile
They are the key micronutrients involved in regulating hormone pathways and neurotransmitters, meaning that these miracle micronutrients can play a role in mood, sleep, energy, and beauty! As a Gypsy Girl, your adrenals are taxed more easily and cortisol is usually the first adrenal hormone to go haywire. Still most Gypsy Girls need help with the afternoon slump or adrenal crash. Here are a few of my favorite examples. For an afternoon energy boost, add the following supplements. Napping longer than 45 minutes can disrupt your nighttime routine. Include healthy fats such as olive oil or ghee here as well to help support the adrenals. Week 2 has incorporated steps that address your adrenals and pump up your lunches and dinners.
