Understand The Power Of Sisterhood

Throughout evolution, we women keep humanity alive. This is possible because we are so incredibly powerful. You have heard the joke, haven’t you? The one that if it were up to men to give birth, civilization would end. This is no joke. It takes a certain strength and endurance to give birth and raise children. This strength is tied to female power. Knowing our worth and inner power is tied to our identity. Too many women don’t actually know who they are. Identifying your true self is one of the most powerful discoveries you will have in life. When you know who you are and stand in your power, you will naturally define what you allow into your life. Your boundaries become clear. You stop people from pushing you around and you embrace your own strength.

Hand In Hand

Hand In Hand

You will feel a fierce pride. The beautiful thing about this is that it will penetrate all areas of your life. Everyone will take notice and will treat you differently as you begin to treat yourself differently. Remember that a powerful, strong woman doesn’t mean that you need to be angry or yelling or loud. Many strong women have a very quiet strength. Each mompreneur shows her strength in her own unique way. Take some time to consider how different your life and business will be if you are deeply aware of and intentionally stand in your power. In this exercise, I’ll focus on business prompts, but of course, you would apply this to all areas of your life. How would your work change? Would you charge more for your work? Would you be more selective of your clients? Would you have more clients? Would you be more confident in your work? Would you be happier in your work? As women, we are taught from a very young age to keep the peace and make sure everybody gets along. One part of this is to act as if we agree, even when we don’t, and then try to justify it to feel better about it. This can be dangerous for us because it oppresses our honest feelings. Deep down inside we know the truth.

Lighten Up

So why do we go against how we think and feel? Because we don’t feel worthy enough or are afraid of rejection. We are worthy enough, though, and if the relationship cannot withstand the dissonance, is it worthy? Your thoughts, your words, your actions, all have an energetic component, and when they are not in alignment with who you are, you are hurting yourself on an energetic level. You are lying to yourself and to others. And, on a certain level, you must know that there are consequences to lying. But don’t worry, being truthful doesn’t mean that you need to be nasty or rude. There are many ways to tell the truth. You can be kind and empathetic and still stand in your power. It is often in the explanation, that the lie is given. One way to handle this is to say, no, I won’t do that, as it doesn’t resonate with me. Practice saying what it is you need to say in an honest and direct way. Even the little lies hurt. People know they are being lied to and you know that you are lying.

Better Move On

Make a commitment to yourself that you will stop lying. Practice truthfulness in everything you do, including social media. This will make you stand out as a strong and powerful woman. Feeling confident enough to be completely honest is so empowering. When you practice truthfulness, you understand how powerful it is when empowered people speak their truth and take a stand for their beliefs, not just for you and for your clients, but also for our planet. When you are ready, let your clients know that you have made this commitment to yourself. Write an email letting your followers know that you love what you do, and that your biggest intention for your business is to align with the Universe and be as truthful as possible. My clients tell me that this is one of their favorite exercises as their work and the relationships with their clients become deeper and more meaningful. Everything you think, speak, and do has a certain kind of energy, and this energy radiates out into the world. It is contagious, so make sure that what you send out is something you want to give away. When you feel good about who you are, you show up with confidence. By thinking good thoughts, acting positively, and speaking with compassion, you will love who you are and show up accordingly. The beautiful thing about being in alignment is that everything just makes sense. I know that as mompreneurs, we have way more on our plate than most people. It can be hard to always be mindful of everything we say and do. The more you are in alignment with her, the easier it will be for you to spread positivity. One way I encourage my clients to spread positivity is to find at least one thing every day to highlight and talk about in a positive way. We call it today’s positive news. Too much news these days is bad news, but you can bring positive news to your tribe! Brag about yourself or your clients. Talk about other peoples’ accomplishments and praise their progress. This will make you feel great and it will make them feel awesome. Your clients will appreciate being acknowledged and valued. When you think, talk, and act positively all the time, more amazing things will happen for you. To infuse your everyday with power, begin a practice of spreading positivity every day. As a mompreneur, you understand exactly what other mompreneurs have gone through and are going through. Every woman is your sister, of course. As a mompreneur, your path is even more aligned. Women go through so much. We carry the burden and the weight of all the people we love. We are often holding the pain, shame, loneliness, and despair of others as we manage all of our complex feelings. We are responsible for our families, our partners, our communities and ourselves. Being a mompreneur just adds a whole new layer to it all.
